Independent research · Sourced and dated
We read every AI video test, so you don’t have to.
Independent reviews, technical benchmarks, official documentation and published pricing — gathered, weighed and dated. Every claim carries a source and a confidence level. Where the evidence is thin or the sources disagree, we publish that too.
We don't run our own tests. We tell you who did, and how much to trust them.
Findings are drawn from cited public evidence, not from tests we ran. Each tool carries a confidence level saying how far that evidence goes, and an evidence coverage figure saying how much of our criteria set it actually answers. Where a tool shows Not researched we have not published research on it yet.

Tools that make video from a text prompt or a still image.
Public evidence, weighed rather than counted. Read the full method, including how sources are weighted and what each confidence level means.
A source counts for more when it names the exact model version, addresses the question directly, and is recent. A review of an older model is not evidence about the current one, and we discount it rather than quietly using it.
Findings carry a label — strongly supported through to not established — because a number implies a precision the evidence does not have. We publish the label and the sources behind it.
A missing finding stays missing. It never becomes a low score. Where our coverage falls below the threshold, the verdict is withheld and the page says so rather than guessing.
We do not accept complimentary accounts, embargoed previews or vendor-supplied review copy. Where a source we cite received one, we note it.
These have no affiliate programme, or none we've joined. They are researched the same way, against the same evidence standard — worth knowing when you read the rest of the table.

Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you subscribe through one we may earn a commission, at no extra cost to you. It does not change what goes on the page: we research from published sources and do not accept vendor-supplied accounts, briefings or review copy.
Research findings are not influenced by commission rates. Tools that pay us nothing are researched the same way and listed in the same table. Where a tool pays well but the evidence is weak, the evidence is what gets published — and where we could not establish something, we say so rather than filling the gap with an estimate.
Spotted a finding you think is wrong, a source we missed, or a price that's changed? Tell us — admin@testedclips.com. Disputed findings get re-researched, and we publish the outcome either way, including when the re-check says we were right.
Tested Clips is run by the video editing team behind videoeditingservice.net, a paid human editing service. Some tools reviewed here automate work we are paid to do — why we think that helps rather than hurts.
Prices and plan details are taken from each vendor's own pricing page and change without notice — check before you subscribe. Where a figure isn't shown as a dash, we haven't verified it yet rather than guessed.
